Our first stop for the day is the St Charbel monastery, and as you explore the monastery and its grounds you’ll absorb the peace and serenity of this holy place. You’ll learn about the life of St Charbel and the miracles that have been attributed to him even after his death in 1898. After leaving the monastery, we head to the city of Byblos, and here we will wander along its cobblestoned streets and stroll through the ancient city, soaking up the atmosphere of this historic place. We will climb to the top of the Crusader Castle, which was built by the crusaders in the 12th century, and admire the panoramic views. It’s a great place to take pictures of the ancient city of Byblos that is spread out below. After walking around Byblos, we’ll go for a local lunch. After We then head down to the bay of Jounieh, and from there take a 15-minute cable car ride up the mountain to Harissa. You’ll be treated to a panoramic view of Jounieh Bay on the way up, so have your cameras ready. Once you’ve reached the top, you’ll see the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon, which is one of the most important shrines in the world that honours the Virgin Mary.
